The latest teaser for MARVEL’S Doctor Strange is promising to be an amazing film starring no other than Sherlocks’ Benedict Cumberbatch who plays the character of the same name and Tilda Swinton who plays MCU version of the Ancient One.
What I like the trailer that it looks promising to be successful in the November release date. Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be amazing showing his “American” accent rather than his normal British one. Tilda Swinton (who best known from The Chronicles of Naria: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe playing the baddie witch in the first film and briefly cameo in the sequels) is playing the Ancient One and it is the first time in Marvel’s history that the actress is playing the character is not a male role. I think she made a perfect match to try something different for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Overall, this is the second time in the MCU to change the character’s personality profile like for example, Nick Fury in the comics is white during 20th Century’s heydays but since Samuel L. Jackson was casted in the debut cameo post-credit scene in Iron Man, it made no fuss about whether should characters change or not. For Sam, people loved his acting style during 1980’s and since then he was the important person to use his help during Phase One, Two and Three.
With less than three months to go, fingers cross by after the movie we should expect teasers from Guardians of the Galaxy (most likely), Spider-Man: Homecoming (maybe) or Thor: Ragnork (likely positively). After that, should we expect Doctor Strange to appear in Avengers: Infinity War? Most positive about that but as I said to wait and see, let’s wait and see.
(Note: even though there are some changes of the poster and the trailer for Doctor Strange, bare that in mind I have been busy with other things but I haven’t forgotten this article to finish it. I will update more regularly now and again.)
